Significant Investor Visa Australia
The Significant Investor Visa programme is a unique opportunity for overseas investors wishing to migrate to Australia. On 1 July 2015, the Australian Government implemented new requirements for the Significant Investor Visa (SIV) under a revised ‘Complying Investment Framework’ developed by Austrade. The SIV programme is a 4 year commitment and requires a mandatory investment of AU$5,000,000 across the following AusIndustry registered,
Minimum of $500,000 allocated to Venture Capital or Growth Private Equity (VCPE) complying funds, including Fund of Funds.
$1,500,000 into ASX listed emerging companies via managed funds or Listed Investment Companies (LICS)
Balancing investment into Australian managed funds, corporate bonds, notes, annuities, LICs, ASX listed companies and real property (subject to 10% limit on residential estate)
Of the AU$5 million total investment required, a mandatory investment of at least AU$500,000 and up to AU$3,500,000, is required to be made into, AusIndustry registered, Venture Capital or Growth Private Equity (VCPE) complying funds, including Fund of Funds.
