Significant Investor Visa Australia

The Significant Investor Visa programme is a unique opportunity for overseas investors wishing to migrate to Australia. On 1 July 2015, the Australian Government implemented new requirements for the Significant Investor Visa (SIV) under a revised ‘Complying Investment Framework’ developed by Austrade. The SIV programme is a 4 year commitment and requires a mandatory investment of AU$5,000,000 across the following AusIndustry registered,

  • Minimum of $500,000 allocated to Venture Capital or Growth Private Equity (VCPE) complying funds, including Fund of Funds.

  • $1,500,000 into ASX listed emerging companies via managed funds or Listed Investment Companies (LICS)

  • Balancing investment into Australian managed funds, corporate bonds, notes, annuities, LICs, ASX listed companies and real property (subject to 10% limit on residential estate)

Of the AU$5 million total investment required, a mandatory investment of at least AU$500,000 and up to AU$3,500,000, is required to be made into, AusIndustry registered, Venture Capital or Growth Private Equity (VCPE) complying funds, including Fund of Funds.
